Real estate photography and video in Burnaby

Burnaby is dense tower stock alongside older single family neighbourhoods in transition. In both cases layout clarity does the heavy lifting: accurate plans and interiors that show how the space actually works, rather than production scale.

Towers beside a neighbourhood in transition

Burnaby holds two kinds of stock at once. There is a large and growing supply of tower units around Metrotown, Brentwood and Lougheed, and there are older single family neighbourhoods that are steadily being redeveloped around them. The two require completely different attention, and what they share is that layout clarity does the heavy lifting in both.

In a tower, a buyer is judging the plan and the outlook. They want to know how the rooms relate, whether the second bedroom is a real bedroom, and what the window actually faces. An accurate 2D floor plan answers the first two faster than any photograph, and honest interior framing answers the third. Production scale adds very little in a 750 square foot unit.

The single family stock

The houses are frequently older, often renovated to varying standards, and sometimes being sold for the lot. Which of those a listing is changes the shoot entirely: a renovation deserves detail frames of the work, and a land sale is better served by clear exteriors and an aerial that shows the parcel and the street.

Burnaby is one of the places where the hour of the day genuinely changes the run, between Highway 1 and the hill. We schedule around that rather than promising a time we would then miss.

Scheduling around the city

Burnaby is one of the routes where the hour genuinely changes the drive, and a tower shoot adds a second scheduling constraint on top of it: most buildings require an elevator booking, and most require it further in advance than agents expect. Telling us at the time of booking rather than on the morning is the difference between a shoot that runs and one that waits in a lobby.

Where a listing is being sold for the land rather than the house, say so. We shoot it completely differently, and the version that sells a lot is not the version that sells a home.

Asked in Burnaby

Local questions, local answers.

Do you shoot tower units as well as houses?
Yes, and most of our Burnaby work is units. A small space needs more care with framing rather than less, because there is nowhere to hide a bad angle.
Is a floor plan worth it on a condo?
Usually yes. Buyers judging a tower unit are judging the layout, and a plan answers that faster than a photograph can.
Can you shoot a house that is really a land sale?
Yes, and we shoot it differently: clear exteriors and an aerial that shows the parcel and the street, rather than a full interior set nobody is buying.
